In San Diego, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across California on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

My family and I visit San Diego every year, and one of the highlights of our trip is dining at Ambrogio15 Pacific Beach. We always make it a point to bring our local friends because it's one of those restaurants that consistently delivers an outstanding experience. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warm hospitality that makes you feel welcome and appreciated. The pizza is absolutely outstanding, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and authentic Italian flavors that are hard to find outside of Italy. We also enjoy the appetizers and wine selection, which perfectly complement the meal. Everything we've ordered has been delicious, and it's clear that the restaurant takes pride in the quality of its food. The ambiance is another reason we keep coming back. The outdoor seating creates a relaxed yet upscale dining experience, and it's the perfect place to enjoy Southern California's beautiful weather. Whether you're having lunch, dinner, or simply sharing a bottle of wine with friends, the atmosphere is comfortable, lively, and inviting. What really sets Ambrogio15 apart is the people. The owner and staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, attentive, and professional

My wife and I have vacationed in Italy every year for the last 3 years, and eating at Ambrogio15 made us feel like we were eating at an authentic Trattoria/Ristorante again. The food and wine were outstanding and were by far the best Italian food we've found outside of being in Italy. I unfortunately didn't catch our server's name, but the service was great as well. We will definitely be coming back!

Definitely get the focaccia with Gorgonzola and pear!! Pizza was alright, the crust was very soft and overly wet, but flavor wise it was okay. I donβt know if they have a host or what, but I stood there for a bit before one of the servers asked me how could they help me. I had rsv. Our server was very nice, though!! He made the focaccia suggestion.

Wow! This neighborhood eatery really represented, and served up some beautiful dishes tonight, with a solid patio game. Apparently theyβve remodeled their kitchen and are pivoting to all handmade pastas, something Iβm a big fan of. Something about new chefs coming over from a different location? Anyway. We LOVED the baked lasagna. The pasta was thin and perfect. Pizza was wood fired, properly thin, and properly cooked. My son called it top 3 of all time β€οΈβ¦ We also enjoyed the Hamachi Crudo, which was a bit out of the ordinary for an Italian place, but served with a lovely basil oil. Lovely all round.

One of the best thin crust tomato souce pizza in San Diego but authentic Italian taste !!! They Use variety of fresh Italian cheeses. Their housemade focaccia bread is worth trying. Tried their Scrocchiarella Nutella Dessert is a must try ππΌβ ... It is served warm ..a with mascarpone cream, something unique. Given the weekend crowd, service speed could have been better.
